Fiori Musicali
Musical Flowers (Clarinet, Violin, Cello)
The concert programme that connects music and visual arts
Fiori Musicali refers to Frescobaldi’s work of the same name, published in Venice in 1635, during the period in which Frescobaldi held the prestigious position of organist at the Basilica of San Pietro in Vatican City.
It is thought that the work was intended not only for San Pietro, but also for iconic churches such as St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice; Fiori Musicali has inspired generations of composers to this day. Fiori Musicali s not just a journey into the past, but an opportunity to rediscover the connection between music and artistic innovation. Inedite (Clarinet, Violin, Cello)
Pioneering Female Composers
The INEDITE project aims to rediscover and honour female composers who not only excelled as artists, but also played important roles in their societies and historical contexts. In a time of great gender inequality, these women broke social and cultural conventions, making a lasting impact on music history.
The title INEDITE emphasises the rarity of the works presented, which are often neglected or forgotten, but which show extraordinary beauty and relevance. The programme consists of compositions by female pioneers such as Hënriette Bosmans, Claude Arrieu, Anna Bon, Elsa Barraine, Maddalena Sirmen, Viteslava Kapralova, Barbara Strozzi and Isabella Leonarda, who challenged their time and left a lasting legacy in music and cultural history.
